I received my MS in Community Counseling at Western Carolina University in December of 2008. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor #9214 (2013), a Nationally Certified Counselor #246482 (2009), I have my Master’s in Addiction Counseling (2014), and am a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist #2380 (2014) as well as a Certified Clinical Supervisor #20223 (2018) with the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board.
Experienced therapist in working with adolescents, adults, Veterans, groups, couples, families and multicultural populations in Community Mental Health, small college, long-term residential treatment program, and at the VA Medical Center. My theoretical model is Holistic and Cognitive Behavioral. I use an eclectic approach that combines many different modalities including, but not limited to; person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, reality based, nature based, motivational interviewing, developmental focused, grief work, co-occurring, disorders, career theories, and experiential techniques.
